Pet Microbiome Test

Understanding the microbiome supports the treatment of enteropathic dogs and cats and advances research for their benefit.

Chronic enteropathies, atopic dermatitis, and other chronic conditions are characterized by dysbiosis.

The Pet Microbiome Test was developed to characterize dysbiosis and support the treatment of chronic enteropathies in dogs and cats.

When to do the Pet Microbiome Test

Monitoring treatments that impact the microbiome

Track changes in the microbiome, such as before and after a diet trial or other treatments that modify the microbiome.

Research

We develop research projects on the gut microbiome, leveraging the expertise and data gathered over years of work.

How does the microbiome test work?

- A small part of fecal material is taken and sent to the laboratory.

- The technicians isolate and "read" the DNA of the bacteria contained in the feces.

- You get a photograph of "who is there and how much there is".

- The level of dysbiosis is estimated by comparing the profile with a population of healthy animals.

Why choose EuBiome

We are microbiome experts

We have expertise in microbiology, bioinformatics, gastroenterology, genomics and other disciplines necessary to be able to work professionally on the microbiome.

We specialize in dogs and cats

Interpreting microbiome data requires specific knowledge, as each species has a different microbiome

With us you can access the fecal microbiome transplant (FMT)

If the Pet Microbiome Test detects a dysbiosis, you can access FMT to restore eubiosis.

Together we contribute to the growth of knowledge

With the owner's consent, the collected data will feed the databases to support research for the animal. (see EuBiome research paper)
